In Italy there was no database of lost dogs, and we created it! We created it with our own time and economic forces with the purpose that it would be free for anyone who needed it. In a short time it turned out to be a reference point for many people who have lost their dogs, getting considerable attention from millions of people, as well as the media. In other European countries there have been databases for lost dogs for a long time already, while in Italy the information travels jaggedly between social networks where, unfortunately, it is easy to lose track of announcements and requests for help.
We are not rich, and we cannot continue with our economic forces to cover the costs of the platform. But we are rich in the spirit of solidarity and charity, giving our time daily to those who need help. The database does not work alone, we are involved in family stories, support and helpful suggestions on what to do when a dog is lost, ready any day of the year and at any time. Operating costs must find a way to be covered with everyone’s help. And we welcome with open arms anyone who wants to join in the great work to be done. The platform is not ours, it belongs to everyone! It can happen to anyone to lose their dog, and it is an endless pain.
