The National Database of Pets is made available to the Regions and Autonomous Provinces by the Directorate General of Animal Health and Veterinary Drugs of the Ministry Della Salute, Office 6 – Animal Welfare Protection, Animal Hygiene and Urban Veterinary Hygiene.
It is currently being fully utilized by the Regions of Sicily, Calabria, Apulia, Molise, Liguria, Marche, Veneto, the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta, and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
Regions that have not yet joined are Piedmont, Autonomous Province of Trento, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Umbria, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Lazio, and Abruzzo.
