CANI smarriti e trovati project was born in August 2022 following the trauma of losing a dog. There was no archive in Italy that collected in a single container the many reports of dogs that are lost in Italy, as well as those that are found wandering and apparently lost. CANIsmarritietrovati.it presents itself as a platform: www.canismarritietrovati.it
CANI smarriti e trovati is a non-profit Social Promotion Association (see “Atto Costitutivo e Statuto Registrato“). The website allows those who find a lost dog to check for lost reports by consulting the archive, and to get in touch with the owner of the lost individual for its return. There is useful information on the website, and as we have more tools to make available to the user, it is updated. It also engages in the dissemination of ethical and legal concepts related to the dog world. It is an ongoing work in progress.
There is a lot of work to be done! We are several volunteers to commit much of our day to the work to be done, but living costs are unavoidable.
Membership dues will contribute to:
- web platform
- IT (information technology) fees
- investments in communication, social media management
- volunteer insurance
- banking costs, accountant’s office, legal etc. etc..
